This year Ponthafren Newtown has been a collection point for the 'Helping Our Homeless Wales Shoe Box Appeal'. We have been overwhelmed by the response we have received by local people. You’ve been amazing.

Helping Our Homeless Wales is a charity based in Mid Wales and aims to improve the lives of those living on the street, providing essentials, care and face to face support.

People from all walks of life have been filling shoeboxes for our appeal. We are grateful to every single one of you.

One young person said:

“I was once homeless myself, I know how hard it can be, I am filling a shoebox for a homeless person because I have been there myself.”

Every shoebox you donated will be given to a homeless person to brighten their lives at Christmas. Thank you to everyone who donated.
