Members and staff at our Newtown Centre have been unleashing their inner elf as part of Alzheimers Society's Elf Day. 

  

  

Behind all the festive fun, there’s a very serious reason for Elf Day. 

That reason is dementia. With someone developing it every three minutes, dementia is the number one cause of death in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. It doesn’t discriminate, it has a huge impact on families everywhere, and currently there’s no cure. In short, it’s a big challenge – the biggest health challenge we face today. Which is where the little (and not-so-little) helpers come in. 

Elf Day was all about raising money to support people with dementia and their families. All the money Ponthafren Association raised will go to Alzheimers Society
