The family of Theresa Gooding, who sadly passed away in November 2021, have donated a lovely bench and table to Ponthafren in her memory.

Theresa was a long-time member at Ponthafren and everyone was extremely saddened by her passing. She was a lovely, bubbly, friendly girl who always enjoyed attending Ponthafren groups and activities. Theresa had a quirky taste of subjects in her art classes and she produced some beautiful pieces of work. Theresa’s smile was infectious and she brightened every art class she attended. Her stories about her holidays with her family were always a highlight and she was always smiling and laughing.

The bench and table, that have been donated in Theresa’s memory, are situated at the bottom of Ponthafren’s garden over-looking the River Severn. Theresa often sat in Ponthafren’s garden and chatted with other members. We think this is a fitting and lovely tribute to her.

Recently members of her family gathered from all over the country to remember Theresa and dedicate the bench in her memory at Ponthafren. It was beautiful day to remember her and we are sure Theresa would’ve loved her family’s wonderful tribute.

As the bench dedication says, Theresa “Always had a smile for everyone” and she is sadly missed by everyone at Ponthafren.
