Welshpool Rugby Football Club

Welshpool Rugby Football Club is a rugby union club based in the Mid Wales town of Welshpool, whose first XV play in the Welsh Rugby Union National League, Division 2 North.

Welshpool Rugby Club launched an innovative new community partnership with the Ponthafren in May 2021, to promote and support mental wellbeing within the club and community.

It includes a walking rugby initiative as well as wellbeing workshops offered to club members, along with a ‘drop-in and chat’ service ran by committee member Donna Lewis at the club once a week.

The club also proudly wears the Ponthafren's logo on its kit.

Individual Membership

Members perform an important role as they get to question the trustees and senior members of staff at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The members also elect the trustees at the AGM so, ultimately, the trustees are answerable to the members. It is the trustees who set the overall direction of the organisation.
