We are very proud that Janet Rogers MBE has been nominated for the St David Citizenship award. Jan is an important part of Ponthafren's volunteer team and we could not be more proud of her. 

Jan is a volunteer and member representative on the Board of Trustees at Ponthafren. Jan and her small team of volunteers are responsible for looking after Ponthafren’s garden in Newtown. Jan has also been instrumental in organising the maintenance and safety of our Newtown site.

Jan has always shared her own experiences of suffering with mental health with many organisations in Wales. She hopes this will enable them to make a positive difference to people’s lives.

She was also a key member of the Expert Reference Group, who reviewed part of the mental health code of practice in England. For which she was awarded an MBE. 

The St David Awards are the national awards of Wales and are nominated for by the public. The St David Awards recognise and celebrate the exceptional achievements of people from all walks of life in Wales and abroad.

We are proud of all of our volunteers at Ponthafren and Jan is an inspiration to all.
