For some, Christmas can be a time of isolation and sadness… imagine the added pressure of not having a home.

This year Ponthafren Newtown will be a collection point for the 'Helping Our Homeless Wales Shoe Box Appeal'. 

Helping Our Homeless Wales is a charity based in Mid Wales and aims to improve the lives of those living on the street, providing essentials, care and face to face support.

We're asking you help by donating a shoe box filled with items such as: 
Toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel, shampoo, deodorant, wet wipes, razor, shaving foam, hats, gloves, scarves, belts, waterproofs, socks, underwear, packet soup, drink sachets, sweets, chocolate, biscuits, porridge pots, noodles, cutlery, mugs, flasks, torches, notebooks, novels, puzzle books, pens. 

But please DO NOT include: alcohol, sharp instruments or harmful substances.

By all means add a card, picture or decorate your box but please do not seal the box.

A shoe box of gifts, to someone in need, can mean so much!
